___ Seller will provide TICA Registration when purchase price is paid in full.

 

___The purchaser must inform Saving Sophie Cattery of Hermes Exotics Bengal Sanctuary if they no longer want the cat for any reason. Saving Sophie Cattery will take back any kitten or cat that the owner no longer wants. The purchaser must ship back the cat at their own expense.

___This cat will never be offered for sale to animal brokers, research laboratories, pet shops or their agents.

___Cats should never be let outside to roam. If going outside they should be walked on a leash in a harness or walking jacket.

___If this cat is ever found to have been mistreated, neglected, roaming freely outside or otherwise abused, the purchaser will surrender the cat or kitten to the seller and forfeit any potential claims against the seller.

 

Health Guarantee
 

_This kitten is guaranteed to be in good health to the best of our knowledge, at the time the buyer takes ownership. The buyer has seventy two hours to take the kitten to a licensed Veterinarian to be fully examined. This kitten is guaranteed to be free from having (FeLV) Feline Leukemia Virus and (FIV) Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. SELLER cannot be held accountable for future of  FeLV, FIV, FIP, or any other bacterial / viral infections or infectious diseases, parasites or fungus, due to the fact that these can be contracted anywhere in the environment after leaving my home and are not a result of genetics or breeding.  This kitten will be current on all core vaccines (3 way - Feline Rhinotracheitis, Calici,  Panleukopenia) according to its age. Rabies vaccine should be given at 16 weeks of age if buying as a breeder, otherwise kitten will receive rabies vaccine at time of spay or neuter. If the buyer immunizes this kitten for FIP, FIV or FeLV, the Health Guarantee shall be null and void. There will be no replacement or cash refunds of kittens that have been given any of the three vaccines mentioned above.  Buyer will receive vet health records with the kitten. The seller is not responsible for any medical expenses incurred by the buyer after the transfer of the said kitten to its new owner. _ This cat / kitten cannot be guaranteed to be free from Feline Enteric Corona Virus (FeCV). It is estimated by research physicians that 93.7% of all cats have contracted FeCV.  FeCV can, on rare occasions, “mutate” and cause the fatal disease Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). The effectiveness of the FIP vaccine is still controversial. Many researchers and veterinarians believe it can create enough stress on the feline immune system to actually cause the disease. Although research is continuing, at this time there no one knows exactly why this disease occurs, or how to prevent it.  There is no vaccine for FeCV. Therefore, this entire Health Guarantee is null and void if the FIP vaccine is administered to this kitten.

 

_ In the event that the licensed veterinarian finds this cat to have a health problem the buyer shall immediately inform the seller of the problem and will provide letters from said Veterinarian detailing the health problem associated with the cat. No treatment of any kind is to be started during the first week without contacting saving Sophie Cattery before treatment.

___ Cat is guaranteed to be free of known congenital or genetic diseases at time of sale and for a period not to exceed two years.

 

___Buyer agrees to quarantine cat for a period of 7 days and it is recommended by the seller that the quarantine be up to 12 days. In the event that the buyer exposes the cat to other cats/kittens prior to the expiration of the 7 day period, all warrantees and representations made by this seller and as contained in this agreement shall be null and void. 

___If a cat/kitten is found to have a congenital disease unknown at time of sale It can be returned to the breeder for replacement, or It can be kept by the owner (must send vet records and consent to our vet). If the cat has died a licensed veterinarian must do an autopsy to determine cause of death and a written Certificate of death must be sent to the seller.
This warranty against congenital defects and genetic disease is valid for a period not to exceed two years from date of sale.

 

___No cash refunds, if there is a health problem with any kitten it will be replaced with a comparable kitten. If the kitten has died an autopsy must be done to determine cause of death. We will not replace a cat without an autopsy that determines the cause of death in hand.

 

___The seller has up to two years to replace a kitten should it become necessary due to Congenital or genetic diseases. The illness must be a life threatening  genetic / congenital problem. This does not include conditions or infections such as colds, URI’s, viruses (including FIP), parasites or bacterial infections that infect the intestinal tract, such as Giardia, Coccidiosis, or Tritrichomonas Foetus.  You will be given pick of comparable kitten from the next available litter.

 

 

___Should the cat ever need surgery the use of Ketamine to put the cat under is strictly forbidden. It has been proven extremely dangerous for hybrid cats.

 

General Information

___During periods of stress such as rehoming and traveling via car or plane, bacteria can multiply and cause diarrhea, which is very hard to detect even with a Veterinarian stool sample. If you notice this please contact me as soon as possible. Most Vets prescribe drugs that are ineffective, however Ponazuril is a new drug that is the quickest and easiest med to get rid of Coccidiosis, Tritrichomonas Foetus and Giardia bacterial infection.

___All shipping expenses for the return of any cat will be paid for by the returnee.

___All down payments are nonrefundable.

Signing of this document indicates an agreement to all points above. Breach of contract will result in cancellation and repossession of the kitten/cat by the breeder. The jurisdiction of this contract is Staffordsville, Kentucky and any disputes of this contract will be held within this jurisdiction.
